Living
We offer the student all-inclusive living arrangements, including residence, meals, supervision, transportation, social and cultural activities, and all other support and services that are necessary for the student's wellbeing.
The comfortable and friendly residence is professionally staffed and has 24-hour adult supervision. The staff is responsible for implementing house rules, and handling medical and other situations, and emergencies.
We offer three meals and snacks throughout the day. We provide a healthy diet, appropriate to young dancers' needs.
There is also a nurse on-call 24-hours a day for any emergencies that may arise. The Academy has relationships with a number of specialists, who are experienced in providing health care for young artists in training.
The Residence Supervisor contacts the student's parents or guardian directly, whenever any question arises. Likewise, the Residence Supervisor can be reached by the student's parents or guardian, at all times.
The Academy maintains regular contact with the student's parents or guardian.
The residence has all amenities, including an extensive library of ballet, art and music books, a vast collection of ballet videos, and classic films in DVD format, - a complement, to the upbringing of young artists.
Luckily, the young dancer's ballet training, and academic study takes place in the very center of the ballet universe, St. Petersburg, the City of Ballet. Only a hop away is the
Mariinsky Ballet, performing at the Mariinsky Theatre. The young dancer will be taken to the performances regularly, witnessing a ballet miracle, week after week.
There is no place in this world, where high culture is as alive as St. Petersburg. There is no experience as sweet as attending a concert in one of the gracious palaces. The whole experience is like a grand ballet, where the young dancer's experience is authentic.
In this city, the young dancer is surrounded by culture. Whether the event or activity is cultural or social, the young dancer gains style from the experience.
Nature is in concert with the city's culture. There is no place in this world, where the two are in such pleasing harmony.
Sundays are the days for excursions: Visiting the famous palaces and parks of the Tsars. In the winter, enjoying Troika rides. In the autumn and spring, boat rides, on some of St. Petersburg's 65 canals. |
