Nurturing the best in Ballet

St. Petersburg Ballet Society has initiated the 1738 Club to honor it's special Sponsors and Donors. 1738 was the year when the foundation for ballet was established in St. Petersburg, Russia. Empress Anne decreed the founding of the Imperial Ballet School, from it ensued the best in ballet chorography, performance and training that continues to this day.

The 1738 Club provides exclusive social, cultural and educational benefits to members, who have given generously to the various worthy projects of St. Petersburg Ballet Society,
-- a not-for profit USA organization.

In St. Petersburg, members will be offered individually arranged escorted visits to such unique venues as backstage at the Kirov / Mariinsky Theatre, the legendary former Imperial Ballet School, The Hermitage Museum and Theatre, public and private performances at historic theatres and palaces, luncheons, cocktail receptions and dinners with entertainment, hosted by distinguished guests.

During the White Days, members will experience the magic of winter, in one of the world's most beautiful cities. St. Petersburg's Zhivago-like charm is most keenly enjoyed, when the architecture is powdered with snow and the winter sun reflects silver on it's 65 canals. Traditional Russian troika rides through the palace parks of the tsars will be provided.

During the White Nights, members will experience the magic of summer: What could be more romantic than walking along the Neva River and the canals, where night is as bright as early evening or gliding over the waters of the canals and rivers, as the unequaled grandeur of beautiful St. Petersburg unfolds in front of your delight filled eyes?

As an honored member of the 1738 Club, St. Petersburg Ballet Society will provide you with all the above benefits and more, to demonstrate to you our appreciation for your generous giving, and for your Nurturing the Best in Ballet.
